Service Projects

Our service projects for the year will include:

a. Community Economic Development

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Limburgerhof/Vorderpfalz in Germany with a Rotary International Grant Fund of US$75,000, we will continue our project objective to train 300 young women between the ages of seventeen (17) and twenty-five (25) years, with only a high-school education from underserved communities over a 3-year period by training 100 young women this year to give them the opportunity to acquire technical and soft skills training.

b. Basic Education and Literacy

We will provide assistance to rescue, rehabilitate and provide educational scholarship to 100 street-connected children who will not otherwise be able to go to school.

c. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

We will hand over mechanized boreholes provided by Rotary International and USAID to Achiase and Denyase CHPS compounds in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region and donate Veronica buckets and PPEs to support the CHPS compounds.

d. Disease Prevention and Treatment

Through our Arise for Polio program, we will contribute USD 10,00 towards the eradication of polio. We will promote and support the national blood service in its efforts to stock the blood bank. The Ankaful Prison infirmary serves as the immediate source of medical assistance to over 500 inmates and prison officers. In collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Accra, Accra-Airport City, Accra-Sunrise and Cape Coast-Central, we will donate medical equipment and medical supplies and refurbish the infirmary.
